Pre-ETS is a series of workshops offered in Tucson by The Centers for Habilitation (TCH) to provide instruction and support to individuals with disabilities between 14 and 22 years old who are preparing for life after high school.

Pre-ETS workshops are offered in either a group setting or one-on-one to any individual with an IEP, 504 plan, an ISP or anotherwise documented disability. Request forms can be obtained by calling TCH or emailing your request and contact information to our email address below.

What is Pre-ETS?

Pre-ETS is an acronym that stands for Pre-Employment Transition Services. TCH provides free employment training workshops through a contract with the AZ Department of Economic Security for students 14-22 years of age who have an IEP, 504 plan, or are a student with a documented disability. Our mission is to work with individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals for employment and independence!

Pre-ETS is a multifaceted approach to basic employment readiness focusing on personal development and skills enhancement. Through the delivery of quality pre-employment transition services, students will have exposure to career and post-secondary education counseling, work readiness skills, work-based learning experience, and instruction in self-advocacy that reflects each student’s individual goals, interests, values and strengths. These are a great foundation for preparing youths for entry into the workforce or postsecondary education and training.

All students completing a Pre-ETS workshop will earn a Certificate of Completion for that subject. The certificate commemorates their training and can serve as a first mention on a resume or in an interview for a job, apprenticeship, internship or post-secondary application. Upon completion of Pre-ETS, students will be given information on how to pursue further vocational services through Vocational Rehabilitation for the purpose of continuing their employment or postsecondary goals.

Please contact Richard at TCH if you have any questions, need assistance or would like more information. TCH’s motto is realized through the services they provide and are offered free to your students.
