Director of Program Services

Kendra M. Benedict, Ph.D., Director of Program Services, provides leadership to the Group Home, Day Program, and Home and Community Based Services teams for TCH.  A dedicated instructional leader in the field of special education, Dr. Benedict brings a sound knowledge base and more than 20 years of experience teaching, mentoring, and serving families and communities around the state. Dr. Benedict comes to TCH most recently from Mesa Public Schools where she supported teachers and principals in the development and implementation of compliant special education programs and services. Dr. Benedict’s background also includes having served as faculty in teacher preparation, and teacher-consultant of deaf/hard of hearing students and facilitator of special education programs for Gilbert Public Schools, Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, and Tempe Union High School District. Dr. Benedict holds administrative and teaching certification from the State of Arizona, a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Special Education from the University of Arizona, and a B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Northern Arizona University. Dr. Benedict and her husband, Ben, live in Tempe with their three children.
